What do you do at Colgate?
I lead the Measurement Science & Innovation group and the Fragrance Technology group.
The Measurement Science & Innovation (MS&I) group studies the interaction among product ingredients and their effects on the performance, aesthetics and stability of the products. The scientists in this group specialize in a variety of areas, including surfactant & colloid science, rheology, nuclear magnetic resonance, molecular and computer modeling, and surface analysis and morphology. The MS&I group has cross-functional responsibilities and participates in the development of quality products for oral care, personal care, household surface care, fabric care and pet food.
The Fragrance Technology group ensures the quality, safety and regulatory compliance of incoming fragrances. It coordinates the transfer of fragrance technology from fragrance houses to Colgate's compounding centers, ranks fragrances, and recommends the best options for meeting product concept goals and driving business results. It also explores new leads for effective delivery of fragrance from products.
